Hi Everyone and Happy Spring (finally)! It is late April as I am typing the newsletter and it finally feels like SPRING! The birds are singing, trees are budding and the snow is GONE. I thought I was out of the woods with our Chicago Quilt Show bus trip this year ( as most of you now know, it always snows on our bus trips) but I was wrong… SNOW was on the ground, the roads and all of us. By the time we reached Janesville, the snow and rain had subsided and a great time was had by all. Especially Patty Johnson. She won a new Pfaff sewing machine at one of the booths at the quilt show. WOW - what a great surprise. Congrats, Patty! The Quilt Show was fantastic, I could tell by all the bags being hauled onto the bus after the show each day. Please check the newsletter for info on our next bus trip going to the first AQS Quilt Show in Des Moines. These are the same people who put together the quilt show in Paducah each year. It is bound to be exciting! Sign up as soon as possible, space is limited.
We have lots of fun events coming up in the next few months. So sit back, put out the “off duty” sign, grab a glass of lemonade or ice tea, and enjoy our newsletter!
